About William

Hello, my name is William, I am a Civil Engineer working for the Research Division of ARDOT. I graduated from Greenwood High School in 2011. Following high school, I spent 2 years at Florida College, a conservative Christian school in Tampa, Florida, then transferred to the University of Arkansas to complete my Civil Engineering degree, graduating in 2016.

While attending Florida College, I was asked to be a math tutor, speciallizing in College Algebra and Calculus. At Arkansas, I began working for the Department of transportation as an intern, and have been employed by the department ever since.

I graduated from Greenwood High School in 2011, and scored a 5 on the AP Calculus exam.

At Florida College, I tutored math for the school, as well as help students with General Chemisty 1 and 2. Classes that I have taken in college are Calculus 2 and 3, Differential Equations, Chemisty 1 and 2, Physics 1 and 2, Engineering Statistics, Engineering Economic Analysis, etc.

There are a lot of really smart people out there, and there are people that are really good at explaining how they thing through problems. As a student, you need to find a teacher that thinks through problems like you do, and someone that you can learn from and retain that knowledge. STEM classes are challenging to many people because in a lot of scenarios, there are many ways to get to the answer, but learning the best way to get to that answer is different for some people. 



A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
When trying to determine what your needs are, you need to know the root issue that you are struggling with. Especially in math, where material builds on top of itself as it gets more and more complicated, you may only be struggling with a handful of concepts, but not understanding them causes you to miss other things.
