About Murphy

With a double major in Psychology and Exercise Science, as well as a minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I've taken all sorts of classes. I graduated with Dean's List recognition not because I'm "naturally smart" (what does that even mean, anyway?), but because I worked diligently to study and learn how I learn best. I believe I can help you find that joy in learning, just like I did. In fact, I learned to love learning so much that I decided to go to graduate school, in which I'm currently pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition at Colorado State.

Once I realized I genuinely am passionate about my learning and embraced the nerdy-ness of it, learning became so much more fun! I love spreading that joy and I try to bring a new, easier twist to education. You all are the future and learning can help you change the world!

I am currently getting my Master of Science in Food Science & Nutrition at Colorado State University to become a Registered Dietitian. As for my undergraduate degree, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Exercise & Sport Science, with a minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions. I attended a rigorous private school from K-12th grade, where I acquired many of my study skills and worked to get into my dream school (UNC).

Let me know how you work best! Everyone has their own unique way of learning, from rewriting to making silly acronyms (a personal favorite). I've gone through trial and error for plenty of learning styles until I found my right one, so I will try to understand and adjust to yours as well so you can get the most out of our sessions.
