About David
I tutor students in grades 1-5 in math concepts. I am a math intervention teacher that re-teaches math concepts the students are having difficulty mastering or understanding.
I love helping students figure out math concepts and enjoy helping them master the foundational concepts that will make every year after more successful for them in math. I include math vocabulary so they understand the terminology of math as part of those foundations.
I use various tools to help students grasp the common core math concepts including diagrams, pictures, videos, music, games, and demonstrations using manipulatives. All online and all so your student can learn in the comfort of their own home.
I have a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, current Arizona teacher certificate for grades 1-8, am Highly Qualified for grades 1-5, have ten years of elementary teaching experience in several Arizona schools, four of those as an elementary math interventionist. I develop a good rapport with my students and instill in them a love of learning.
