About Mimi

I am very patient with younger kids and have a good understanding of math from k-5th. I am a nurturing caring person. I will take time with your student or child and make them feel special, smart, and safe.

What i enjoy about the work I do is how the child lights up when they finally understand and get what they are doing and how they progress in their courses.

I first got started on teaching when i started babysitting this kid. He struggled is school and need some after school help, i was always there and it really just made find a love for tutoring.



I have worked my kids befor and tutored other kids. I have also been tutored in the past and know what works best, and what didnt work so well. I understand that every kid learns and grows at different rates.

My first step i take with new students is seeing where they are and how much they understand. Then i see where they are struggling and what they arent grasping onto. After that i go from there and help them understand their work better.



I have worked with kids from ages 5-11. I have helped kids with behavioral problems. I have learned that each and every kid is different and am willing to work with every kid.



Recently i have been tutoring this little boy and he has just started to really understand and get good and his math. Last week he came into our tutoring session with a big bright smile on his face and showed me his test that had a 95% circled on the top of the page. He gave me a hug and thanked me for helping him. The experince made me remeber why i started tutoring in the first pace.
