I've worked with students in 9-12 grade, including on-level, AP, pre-AP, LEP, and 504 students.



Just because someone knows the material or is really good at a subject (math, in this case), doesn't mean they will make good teachers. Not everyone can successfully explain the concepts they, themselves, understand. It's okay to try out a tutor and decide that their style doesn't really work for you. Your success is the most important thing, and finding the right tutor plays a big part in that.



I teach math at the high school level. I recently got really sick and had to unexpectedly be absent for a little over a week. I knew my students were going to be glad not to have to work in class, and might even be a little disappointed when I returned to work. To my surprise, they were so happy to see me when I came back! Many students welcomed me by saying "Finally! We missed you, Ms. Garcia". It was so heartwarming!
