About Patrick
I've been tutoring math for twenty years on all levels. I have a knack for simplifying the most complex concepts.
I love making new friends and developing the minds of young mathematicians every day. I love what I do!
I was a philosophy major at UT, but I got placed in the engineering dorm. Most of my dorm mates sucked at math and I found myself being asked to tutor in math even though I was a lowly liberal arts major. They could just tell I was smart, I guess. This prompted me to switch my major to math.
I have a BA in Math from UT/Austin, and I've been tutoring math since I was about 19 years old. I have a real knack for getting to the bottom of why students are struggling.

I like to give him or her an skill assessment to see what immediate areas for improvement are. Then I like to get to know the student's learning style.
I work mostly with college and high-school students, but I am able to teach all the way up to graduate level mathematics.
Hire me. I'm the best.

Perfect! Math online is extremely difficult for me. However, with Patrick he explains step by step to help me comprehend the material. He reads the textbook and gives real-life examples which makes it easy to understand the math problems. Highly recommend him!
Perfect! Patrick is an amazing tutor! Our high school senior needed some AP Calculus help and Patrick was able to bring him up to speed in one hour. He is a fantastic communicator and is incredibly efficient with his time. Looking forward to his continued assistance this year! THANKS A MILLION PATRICK!!!
Perfect! Patrick is an excellent Calculus tutor. He works well with teens and young adults. Patrick helped my son work through extensive homework and review sheets for tests so that he understood math concepts. I highly recommend Patrick for math tutoring!
Perfect! My son now has an A! Gunnels is an awesome teacher!
Perfect! Patrick Gunnels is a smart man who helped our son develop good habits that improved his ability to get to the right answer. He also makes sure each step is well understood, and he showed him multiple ways to get to the same answer. My son really appreciated being able to check his work using the different methods. He communicates well with teenagers. My son improved...from Bs to As...!!
Thank you!!!View more reviews
