About Anna

Hi there! I'm Anna - and I am eager to help you regain your confidence in math. I am equipped to do because I have...

...Taught Algebra 1 and Geometry at a local public high school for the past 3 years (2020-2023), working tirelessly to plan effective instruction and practice for students while constantly adjusting real-time to address misunderstandings and help them put in the work to master each skill

...Completed my student teaching under an award-winning cooperating teacher who showed me how to math fun while also teaching math to even the hardest-to-reach students successfully

...Earned my Bachelors in Secondary Math Education from Olivet Nazarene University

...Privately tutored more than local 20 high school students throughout college ranging from students with IEPs to students in calculus

...Worked for the university's math lab, tutoring other college students who needed help completing the math credits their major required to graduate

...Loved helping other students understand math since high school - my high school math teacher, math team coach & inspiration told me that he consistently saw me explain simple & complex math concepts alike with ease and effectiveness - that helped me see my love for and gift in teaching and I've been pursuing teaching ever since. Through the coaching of many great teachers, I earned a 35/36 on my math ACT in 2016, got a 5/5 on my AP Statistics test, and competed on a state-ranked math team in high school - I know my math AND can teach it :).
