About Katherine
I provide one on one tutoring to students who need extra support in math. I am a 6th grade math teacher and typically tutor students between 3rd and 8th grade.
I enjoy building relationships with students as they continue to build their math skills.
I have spent the last 28 years teaching math in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. I am currently a 6th grade teacher in the SMSD.
I run tutoring groups after school at my school and tutor out of my home in the evenings and during the summer.

I work with the parent to figure out what the their concerns are and also gain information from the child's teacher when possible. The first few sessions I work on a variety of different skills using different strategies to gain an idea of what their strengths and weakness are. From there I work to fill in gaps in their learning as well as build confidence in their math skills.
