About Liban

With over a decade of experience and my ability to relate to any student regardless of age or background, I have the necessary resources and methods to bridge the gap between the student and the material. By the time I'm done with students they will not only be able to understand math, but they will be able to apply it beyond the simple scope of their class.

I have a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from Emory University, 6 years teaching mathematics at a charter school in Georgia, over 13 years of tutoring math, science, economics, and test prep.

I first like to evaluate a student not just by knowledge, but also by interests and overall attitude.  That way not only do I know what material needs to be reviewed, but also the proper method to master it.  Once I gather this information, it's only a matter of instilling constant confidence into the student and constant practice to ensure success

I have worked with various students from pre-k to doctorate students from many backgrounds.  I have experience working with students with disabilities as well as advanced students.

Apart from making sure the teacher is an expert in the subject, make sure the teacher can relate the material in a method that complements your way of learning..

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do you need help in?  What are your strengths and weaknesses (BE HONEST)?  How do you learn best (doesn't necessarily need to be in the academic stance)?
