About Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia and I'm a student at Northwestern University (currently in LA). I have tutored for over 3 years in math, Spanish, and reading/writing. I have worked as a private tutor and at a tutoring center. I am studying education and psychology and love working with students to create a learning environment that fits their needs. Please reach out if you have any questions!

I have always been passionate about education and have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I have worked at preschools, summer camps, after school programs, and even taught a high school class.

I am studying social policy and psychology, with a focus in education. I have taken college calculus and statistics, and received As in both. I worked as a math tutor at Mathnasium for over a year where I worked with students at various levels of math (from addition to calculus). I also worked as a private tutor for a 6th grade student in reading comprehension and writing, and for a 9th grade student in geometry.
