About Jairo

Hablo espanol! Even as a student I adored teaching others, seeing that relief, that gleam in their eye, once they understood the material. I'm currently a Teacher's Assistant but I've spent plenty of time over the years helping fellow students as well as my younger brother to learn various subjects. My strongest traditional subjects are Math and English.

I've enjoyed helping others learn since I was young, and that hasn't changed over the years. I love showing people that they're so much more than they may think.



I work as a Teacher's Assistant currently and am continuously learning how to better myself as an educator.

Typically I want to understand where they're at, so we might start with where they're at, and go through the basics of what they should know by that point. From there we can help get them to that stage if not there yet, and blossom from there.



I've worked with Honors students in high school, as well as English Learners, students with IEPS, and general students in middle school.



You want a tutor you can be comfortable with, someone that you feel wants you to grow. 



Recently a student was asking for information during an exercise, and through encouraging and reminding them of what we had covered as a class, I could see the realization and hear the connections they were making to the material to synthesize their own answers. It was beautiful.
