About Tessa
I have experience tutoring students from all sorts of backgrounds ever since I was a grade student myself. With the things I have learned from my personal experience, I make all my sessions tailor-made for the student. Based on our first session where I provide a pre-assessment and a list of questions to get to know you as a person and a student, it helps me know how to tutor you in the most effective way.
I love being able to meet new students and help them grow in terms of knowledge. I see teaching as a puzzle, where my job is to help you understand something in a way that fits your brain. It is so much fun seeing a student have that "a-ha!" lightbulb moment, and to me that is when I know I have done my job. I never get frustrated when a student does not understand something, because I see it as my responsibility to get you to understand.
