About Abe

No two students are identical, so I tailor my teaching to the interests and abilities of each student. Music is an aural art, not a visual art, so I encourage students to learn to play by ear and to learn to read music notes.

In addition to teaching music I also teach important life skills such as techniques for problem solving and smart and efficient time management. Self-esteem is nurtured through measurable progress, and I encourage students of all ages to participate in the optional student recitals which take place in a friendly supportive environment.

I enjoying watching students grow both in technique and musicianship. I enjoy helping students discover the joy and wonder of the aural landscape and to expand cultural horizons, as described in my song, "Music is the Key to the Future."

Music is is the key to the future.

It opens a great mystery.

A place, a time you can't touch, hand's can't feel.

But you know it's more real than real.

Music is the Key to the Future.

A place that is wholey divine.

We can visit this place together,

And let our spirits entwine.

Anyone can enter this place.

Anyone can enter this time.

With the string, a drum,

A horn, a rhyme

There is space

for the whole human race.

Music is the key to the future.

What we learn in this great mystery,

Can open new doors in the present.

And Music is the Key.

(c) 2000 Abe Cáceres, (concealed information)
