About Jomary

It is all about ensuring student success! I thrive to engage and motivate students to perform their best in any subject matter.

I am an Elementary School Administrator and have been in education for over 25 years. I have owned my own preschool, been a teacher, an interventionist, and a Learning Design Coach. I speak fluent Spanish and love teaching students.

I directed and taught at my own Preschool right out of high school. I wanted to reach more students so I went to school to be a teacher. I taught pre-K - 5th grade before becoming an Administrator.

I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership. I have my ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement.

When meeting a new student I always ask what the needs and purpose for getting the tutor are. We discuss the student's goals and the steps we will take to achieve them.

I have worked with all types of students. Students that need extra support through intervention and progress monitoring and students that need enriching. I have taught students in which English is their second language.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should know their areas of strength so that teachers can use those to target their areas of need. Students should know what motivates them and what comes difficult to them.
