About

I'm not a credentialed teacher-- but I sure love the Spanish language. I know what it is like to learn a foreign language so I will try my best to make the learning fun and interesting. I am strong in grammar and proofreading of texts or homework.

On a personal note, I have traveled extensively through Latin America and I have many friends I speak Spanish with. I have done many medical mission trips and I have a lot of experience interacting with native Spanish speakers.

Helping the student "get it" when they have struggles and then begin to enjoy the class.

I started tutoring about 3 years ago as I wanted to share the excitement of learning a foreign language with others.

Introduction, getting to know what they want to learn and improve on, and their preferred learning methods.

high school students, adults

A student teacher relationship needs to be mutual, so it's ok if you need to try different ones. Don't get frustrated, learning is a lifelong process. It should be fun, or it will be very frustrating.

The parent of a student I tutored told me that she has noticed that her child has become more excited about Spanish class since we started tutoring.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are their strengths and what is their teaching method?
How often would you have the classes? What is their rate?
