About Moiz

I'm a Neuroscience MS candidate at Üsküdar University with a BS in Psychology from Forman Christian College, and teaching has been a consistent thread throughout my academic career. During my undergraduate years, I worked with Agaahi, an education initiative our college ran for staff members, including security guards, gardeners, and nursemaids, who hadn't had access to formal education. I taught basic computer literacy to female security guards, and in my final year, I co-headed the project and taught English.

I also ran statistics and SPSS sessions for my university colleagues, since statistics is a subject many psychology students dread and often fall behind in. My core expertise spans research methods, forensic psychology, developmental psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, consumer psychology, and positive psychology, and I hold a certification in child psychology and stress management. I'm currently working as a Learning Support Assistant at TNS Beaconhouse, supporting a student with special needs — an experience that's sharpened how I adapt my teaching to each individual learner rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around meeting you where you actually are, not where a textbook assumes you should be. I start by understanding what's tripping you up specifically , whether it's a concept, a type of problem, or just confidence, and we work from there rather than following a rigid script.

For statistics and research methods, I focus on building intuition first: understanding why a test or method exists before memorizing how to run it. This is usually what makes the difference for students who've felt lost in stats before. For psychology subjects, I connect theory to real, concrete examples so ideas stick rather than staying abstract. Sessions are interactive, I ask questions throughout to check understanding rather than just talking at you, and I adjust pacing based on how you're following along. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through a thesis, or just trying to build a stronger foundation, my goal is for you to leave each session actually able to do the thing yourself, not just having watched me do it.
