About Julian

I am currently in Teacher's college and hoping to be a future teacher. I am here to help and support you with your needs. I played baseball for the majority of my life and would love to talk sports and how we can time manage school work and after school play properly and effectively.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Julian, and my goal as a tutor is to help kids feel confident, curious, and capable in both English and geography. I believe students learn best when lessons are clear, engaging, and connected to real life—not rushed or intimidating.

Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I use a student-centred, interactive approach. For English, I focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary building, writing structure, and speaking confidence through short texts, guided questions, and creative exercises. For geography, I use maps, visuals, real-world examples, and simple explanations to help students understand places, cultures, and spatial thinking. I adjust my pace and style to each student’s learning needs.

Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson starts with a quick check-in and review of what the student already knows. We then move into the main topic using clear explanations and hands-on activities (reading passages, map work, short writing tasks, or discussion). I finish each session with a recap, practice questions, and simple take-home strategies so students keep improving between lessons.

What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is my patience, relatability, and ability to explain concepts in a way kids actually understand. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I focus on building confidence just as much as academic skills.
