About Melanie

I am a JQC recognised current GCSE examiner, former Head of English, Oxbridge graduate in English Language and Literature with almost 25 years' teaching and tutoring experience. I have worked online and in person with billionaires' children in one to one lessons as well as in school settings, in state, grammar and boarding schools here in the UK, as well as consulting with international tuition agencies on their course architecture for IGCSE and IB as well as teaching. I have set and marked 11+ and 13+ entrance exams. I have an English resources website with over 6 million hits. I have taught thousands of students, from super-bright overachievers to those excluded from school, with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and anxiety, as well as teaching EAL, CIE English as a Second Language and IELTS. I've worked with students from age 10 to adult learners working on higher academic qualifications. I've worked with students preparing for Oxbridge entry, the EPQ (in a range of subjects), UCAS applications, as well as tutoring every GCSE and IGCSE board.
