About Frank

I studied at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and completed a BA in English Literature, attaining First Class Marks in my Dissertations and Postcolonial modules. I am a published poet and writer, and have editorial experience with award-winning Publishing House Head of Zeus. I previously studied English, History, and Philosophy and Ethics A-levels in Carlisle. I have extensive experience working with young people in a learning setting (as a youth coach/charity worker) and am passionate about teaching Literature and Sociology and helping pupils fulfil their potential and enjoy learning the subject.

I offer tutoring in English at GCSE and A-Level and am able to assist with essay-writing and research technique at degree level. I am also able to assist in Oxbridge applications, with personal statements and general advice.

Having recently been through the A-level and University admissions process myself I have an excellent insight into the exam system and Oxbridge admissions process.

As well as exam prep (familiarising students with practice questions and technique), I am keen to instil a genuine interest in Literature in my students, which I believe is crucial to improving and subsequently gaining academic success and entry to top universities.

Head of Zeus - I have worked as an Editorial Intern with award-winning publishing house Head of Zeus.

The OVC - I led theatre-based consent workshops with groups of young people from a variety of different backgrounds. I also monitored submissions and wrote/edited original content.

The Good Lad Initiative - I was a highly commended Workshop Facilitator with `The Good Lad Initiative` - a non-profit working with Highschool and University groups to educate on sexual health and consent.

Reading Buddies Initiative - I took part in a programme supporting younger students with their reading skills twice weekly for a number years.
I have also assisted multiple University and Highschool students with successful applications for jobs and Universities.
