About Lucy

I graduated from Cambridge in 2018 with a First in English and an honorary award for academic excellence, having achieved A*AA in English, Mathematics and Geography at A-Level. I have recently received a distinction in the Graduate Diploma in Law.

I have 6 years experience of tutoring, aimed at 11+, internal school exams, GCSEs, and UCAS personal statements.

About the lesson

I'm looking to tutor primary school students right up to undergraduates, with a special focus on crafting and refining those all-important independent study skills (essay writing, revision strategies, organisation).

I'm patient, encouraging and supportive, so whatever your ability, we can work together to not just achieve your aims but exceed your expectations.

Before each session, we'll talk through the areas you would like to cover or are struggling with, so that I can plan a lesson structure that is individualised, comprehensive and effective.

Lucy is very understanding and took things at a pace that suited me best. She always made sure that I was happy with what we’d gone through and with what I’d learnt. I never felt afraid to ask questions or ask Lucy to re-explain stuff I didn’t understand.
