About Mayah
I am a CELTA qualified English teacher with 3 years experience teaching students ranging from Pre-A1 to B2 level English. I also achieved a first class degree and English Language and Literature A-level. My students have made astonishing progress in a short space of time, due to excellent rapport, hard work, and a focus on individuals' skill development using ongoing assessment and revision.

My lessons are structured with short engaging activities which both demonstrate the structures being studies, as well as provide a range of opportunities to apply the skills/tools being learnt in an interesting context. I often use technological aids such as interactive games and videos to consolidate and allow students to practise what they learn.
Routine and repetition are a necessary element of my teaching to ensure that good habits are reinforced in my students, and skills can be strengthened over time. Revision of past lessons and key skills will be ongoing, and continuous assessment through quizzes, quick-fire questions as well as freer practice will demonstrate skills and content learnt.
