About Madeleine
I have recently graduated with First-Class honours in the study of English at Cambridge University, and I am looking to tutor both students who may need a little extra support with English language/literature as well as those looking for an extra challenge!
No cause is too big or too small, and my aim is not only to hone your critical and literary skills, but to highlight the enjoyment that can be found in reading and writing!
Having recently been in the education system myself, I believe that I am well-positioned to understand the needs and concerns of today's students. I will ensure that my passion for delivering success will extend to others' studies too.
I also offer to work with students on their personal statements for getting into university, in addition to providing specific oxbridge tutoring!

I don't have a set methodology as I prefer to tailor my sessions to the individual's needs, but I generally work with a mixture of worksheets and interactive examples, as well as with in-depth knowledge of specific texts and, if need be, past papers.
Alongside a developed knowledge of the subject, I also aim for my students to derive a renewed sense of satisfaction from their studies, and to find a sense of joy in learning and growing new skills!
My lessons are typically an hour or so in length but this can be altered to suit a student's needs, as I am available to customise my tuition to suit the student's age and level of education.
