About Jake
As a freshly graduated Bachelor of Arts, this is my first step into the world of teaching! Don't let that put you off though, your first lesson with me is always free, and I have plenty of informal experience in tutoring other students on my degree and helping younger relatives and family friends with their school work.

I can offer a high quality of teaching at any level of academic English study, including early years spelling and comprehension, GCSE and A-Level Language and/or Literature, English as a second language, and undergraduate studies.
The structure of lessons will be dependant on your specific needs as a student, but a particular characteristic of my lessons will be an emphasis on dialogue - I find that the ability to have a stimulating conversation about the subject matter is a vital precursor to the student's comprehension, expression, and argumentative technique. These conversations will form part of a wider approach geared towards the attainment of each student's academic goals in an engaging and creative environment.
