About Lauren
Throughout school, I was always told I had potential if only I applied myself. After later discovering I had undiagnosed ADHD, I realised that the teaching methods at my school simply didn't suit my learning style!
At university, I discovered a way of studying and learning that suited me, and graduated with top grades.
As a tutor, I aim to adapt to your way of understanding. Learning multiple subjects at once is a challenge, I hope to give you skills that'll translate across other humanities, social science and essay-based subjects.

GCSE tutoring: I achieved a 9 in GCSE English literature, and am hoping to empower students' literacy skills, no matter the starting level.
A Level / university prep: I also graduated with a First in Philosophy and achieved marks of 80-90% on multiple essays in my degree. Specialising in essay and persuasive writing, I'm equipped to help students with personal statement essays, university preparation, and A Level coursework.
I break down complex questions and concepts into clear, actionable steps, and aim to make essay writing less daunting, and writing more fluent. Also able to tackle reading and comprehension challenges, as someone with ADHD myself, I can work with different learning styles.
