What is my experience?
- I have over three years of teaching experience with 300+ total lessons, across many different ages and experience levels - including GCSE, IB, A Level, primary, and university students. My area of specialty is English GCSE and IB, and I can also advice on Oxbridge applications e.g. admissions tests, personal statements, and interviews
Who are my lessons for?
- Any students studying English (language or literature) at GCSE or IB. However, I can accommodate anyone interested in support with English or Oxbridge applications.
How long are my lessons?
- Typically 30-60 min.
What are my lessons like?
- The style of my lessons depends on the student, what they are looking for, and external targets or goals (e.g. coursework deadlines or approaching exams). I'm happy to help prepare a student for upcoming exams or assessments, but I can also help to boost a student's grade in more regular, ongoing lessons.
In lessons focused on English literature, I prioritise hands-on time looking at the text(s) in question, and I love to engage my students in discussion around themes, characters, and language.
Language lessons might focus on a certain technique or series of exam-style questions, and often includes unpacking unseen passages or texts.
