About Susie

I am an outgoing and friendly person with a love for reading, art, photography, and music. I am currently studying law in London, having graduated from UCL last year.

I have always loved English, and achieved an A* in both my Language and Literature GCSEs, as well as a D1 in my Cambridge Pre-U (A** equivalent).

In my first year at UCL I was awarded a prize for the second highest grades in my cohort, and achieved a place on the Dean's List due to my performance in my final exams.

I have a passion for all literature, but specialise in Shakespeare, American Literature, the Modernists, Post-Modernists, Victorian literature, and the Romantic period. I particularly enjoy analysing and writing about poetry.

Outside of my English studies I love reading Japanese literature, particularly the works of Murakami.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is dynamic and student-focused, adapting to the unique needs and goals of each tutee.

Lessons are typically one hour long, offering focused and comprehensive support to students from primary to university level.

From interactive discussions through to practical exercises, organising notes and personalised feedback, I encourage critical thinking and a deeper understanding of English language and literature.

With a strong academic background and a passion for literature, I hope that my love of the subject will inspire my tutees, as I believe an enjoyment of literature is integral to improving both confidence and writing skills.
