About Zoraya

Hi, I’m Zoraya. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in Psychological Science, and I’m currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at Howard University. I also have been dancing folklorico for 15+ years and have taught for 5+ years at a college level. I tutor because I enjoy helping people learn in ways that actually make sense to them. My lessons are practical, clear, and focused on what each student needs most. I take time to understand how my students learn best and adjust my teaching style to match. Every session is personalized!

About the lesson

Teaching Style:

A typical session starts with a quick check-in, followed by focused practice or discussion. I keep lessons structured but flexible so we can move at a pace that feels comfortable and productive.

What Sets Me Apart:

I bring a mix of academic experience and emotional understanding to my sessions. My background in psychology and social work helps me see the whole picture—not just the subject, but the person learning it.

Who I Work With:

I work with K–12 students in writing and Spanish, and with anyone interested in learning folklórico or looking for support with life goals and organization. Every lesson is tailored to fit your needs and comfort level.
