For 20+ years, jazz singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and educator Michele Thomas has provided singers with foundational voice training and mentoring that is mindful and culturally responsive.

Michele has helped me understand the mechanics of my own voice and how to maximize the voice that I have (not the voice as someone else would like it to be or some irrelevant expectation I may put on it). More importantly, Michele has helped me to build my confidence as a singer and knowing how I can tackle a song based on my unique voice. I have the privilege of working with her online and, for a number of years, in-person. I was surprised in the transition to on-line, how effective it has been. She has a very good set-up and understanding of the technology for online teaching. I was surprised how effective the online lessons have been. Michele has such an expansive knowledge of music, the voice and the realities of a being a performing artist. Her teaching expands beyond the singing itself. I feel so lucky to have learned from her for so long.
