About Kate

Learning Russian should feel challenging in the right way — never confusing, intimidating or impersonal.

I’m Kate, a native Russian speaker, qualified educator, interpreter and language-materials creator with 15 years of teaching experience. I hold qualifications in education and translation and interpreting, which give me both a teacher’s understanding of how people learn and a linguist’s ability to explain how language works.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students of different ages, levels and cultural backgrounds. I am patient, supportive and attentive to detail, and I create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes and develop confidence without feeling judged.

As a professional teacher, I do not rely on improvised conversations or one-size-fits-all materials. I carefully prepare structured, interactive lessons based on each student’s level, interests and goals. I especially enjoy turning complex Russian grammar into clear, manageable patterns and creating lessons around culture, media and unusual niche topics.

My goal is not only to teach you Russian, but also to help you feel capable, motivated and genuinely proud of your progress.

Hi, I’m Kate, a native Russian speaker, qualified educator and interpreter with 15 years of language-teaching experience. I offer personalized Russian lessons for adults and teenagers, from complete beginners learning the Cyrillic alphabet to more advanced students who want to speak naturally, expand their vocabulary or understand Russian culture and media.

My approach is practical, structured and communication-focused. I explain grammar clearly and logically, without overwhelming students with terminology, and help you understand the patterns behind the language rather than memorize disconnected rules. We work on pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary and grammar in a balanced way.

Lessons take place on an interactive online platform where you can complete exercises, listen to audio, watch videos, practice vocabulary and keep all your materials in one organized space.

A typical lesson includes a short conversation or warm-up, presentation of useful language, interactive practice, guided speaking and personalized feedback. I adapt the pace and level of support to each student.

What makes my lessons different is genuine personalization. Instead of following only predictable textbook topics, I can create lessons around your interests — including Russian films, literature, travel, history, psychology, science, culture, everyday life or other niche subjects that make you curious and motivated to communicate.
