About Valerie
I am a full-time linguist and language teacher whose love of the Dutch language comes through in my lessons. I taught Dutch at Leeds Beckett University for five years until the language programme was scaled back in 2018 and was nominated for a 'Golden Robe' (teaching award) four out of five of those years. I have continued to teach small groups and private lessons online ever since.
I work as an ITI-accredited, ISO-certified translator for large corporates and SMEs, specialising in, but not limited to, legal, finance and marketing subjects, so I'm engaged with the finer points of the Dutch language every day.
