I'm currently finishing my second year of AmeriCorps service as Tutor Mentor in the elementary schools. As a child, I struggled a lot with my studies, but especially with math. I now know ways to explain solving equations to kids in a language they can understand. I've also volunteered to tutor students at The Boys and Girls Club. I truly enjoy the company of children, and find it immensely satisfying to help them succeed in school.
