English
As a former public school and homeschool educator with over 10 years of experience, I specialize in teaching English and History to middle school students in a way that is personalized, engaging, and adaptable to individual learning needs.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
I believe that every student learns differently, and I structure my lessons to match their unique learning styles—whether that’s through interactive discussions, visual presentations, writing exercises, or hands-on activities. Since I have worked extensively with students who have learning disabilities and social anxiety, I focus on creating a supportive and confidence-building environment that encourages students to excel at their own pace.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is designed to be engaging and structured with:
A warm-up activity to activate prior knowledge
Main instruction tailored to the student’s preferred learning style
Interactive exercises, such as reading discussions, writing prompts, or history analysis
Feedback and review to ensure understanding and build confidence
I also provide practice exercises, but I believe in quality over quantity, so my assignments are designed to reinforce concepts without overwhelming students.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my teaching approach unique is my ability to connect with students on a personal level. I take time to understand their interests, strengths, and challenges so that I can tailor my lessons in a way that makes learning meaningful and enjoyable. With my background in both traditional and homeschool settings, I have developed flexible and adaptive teaching strategies to help students who may struggle in conventional classrooms.
Who My Lessons Are For
I offer virtual tutoring for middle and high school students who need support in:
English – Literature, Writing, Grammar, Essay & Research Paper Help
History – U.S. History, World History, Louisiana History, and more
Students with Learning Differences – ADHD, Dyslexia, Anxiety, and other challenges
Homeschoolers & Traditional Students – Whether supplementing homeschool education or reinforcing classroom learning
If you’re looking for a dedicated and adaptable tutor who makes learning accessible and stress-free, I’d love to work with you!
