About Skye

I’m someone who has always loved English, stories, and the feeling of helping other people finally understand something that once felt difficult. Friends and classmates naturally come to me for help with writing, test prep, and understanding texts, and I realised I genuinely enjoy explaining things in a way that feels simple, calm, and encouraging. I’m creative, patient, and really good at breaking down big ideas into easy steps. I love making lessons feel comfortable and personalised, and I try to bring a bit of fun and confidence into every session. Helping someone improve — whether it’s writing a stronger paragraph or preparing for a test — makes me feel proud, and that’s why I’m excited to tutor others.

About the lesson

1 hour 15 minute sessions! £20 per session My lessons are personalised to each student so they can learn in a way that feels comfortable, supportive, and confidence-building. I start by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals, then create a simple plan that helps the student progress at the right pace. For English and literacy, I break skills down into clear, manageable steps—reading techniques, vocabulary building, paragraph structure, and understanding texts. I use examples, short exercises, and guided practice to help everything feel easier and more natural. For creative writing, I focus on imagination, style, and expression. I teach how to develop ideas, create characters, and structure stories, while also showing how to improve grammar and clarity. Students get personalised feedback that helps them grow quickly. For test or exam preparation, I use past papers, timed practice, and proven strategies that help students stay calm and perform better. I teach how to analyse questions, plan answers, and avoid common mistakes. Overall, my method is friendly, patient, and supportive. I help students feel more confident in their abilities, encourage independent thinking, and make learning enjoyable while still achieving strong results.
