About Alex
Hi! I’m Alex! I’m a guitarist, bassist and musician with 14 years of playing experience.
I grew up around classic hard rock and metal bands like AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Dio, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, which heavily shaped the way I play and teach today. Music has been a huge part of my life for years and I currently perform live in an originals rock band called Hell For Leather. We’ve played venues around the country, including some with capacities of over 2,000 people, and are currently in contact with record labels as we continue to grow.
I’m especially passionate about helping complete beginners build confidence with the instrument, even if you’ve never picked up a guitar before. I always try to keep learning enjoyable, relaxed and focused around music you genuinely love listening to.
For anyone who feels a little nervous about face-to-face lessons at first, I’m also happy to offer personalised video lessons and practice videos tailored around whatever you’d like help with!

Hi everyone, my name’s Alex!
My lessons are focused around helping beginners and developing players build confidence with the instrument while learning songs and riffs they genuinely enjoy. I mainly specialise in rock and metal guitar, but I’m also happy teaching blues, jazz, country, funk and other styles too.
I focus on getting people playing music from the very start, even if it’s your first time picking up a guitar. I personally believe theory, scales and technique are learnt best naturally through songs you genuinely enjoy playing.
Lessons are relaxed, beginner-friendly and tailored around what you personally want to improve on, whether that’s technique, rhythm, timing, songwriting or simply becoming more comfortable with the instrument.
