About Mamta

My name is Mamta, and I am a professional Hindi educator holding both a Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from India. With my academic background and deep-rooted passion for the language, I specialize in making Hindi accessible, engaging, and relevant for young learners growing up abroad, particularly in Australia.
I understand that learning a heritage language from a distance can feel challenging for children. My teaching philosophy focuses on bridging the cultural gap through interactive, conversational, and immersion-based learning. Rather than relying on rigid memorization, I design my lessons around storytelling, interactive games, and practical daily conversations. This approach ensures that your child doesn’t just learn Hindi as a subject, but naturally builds the confidence to speak fluently with family and grandparents.

Why I Want to Teach

For me, teaching Hindi to children living overseas is more than a profession—it is a mission. Language is the strongest thread connecting a child to their roots, culture, and family history. I want to teach because nothing brings me more joy than watching a student transition from understanding a few isolated words to confidently speaking full sentences in Hindi.
As a trained educator, I bring structured lesson planning, patience, and professional classroom management to our online space. I tailor the pace of every session to your child’s unique learning style and current proficiency level. My goal is to create a warm, encouraging, and vibrant environment where your child looks forward to every class and genuinely falls in love with learning Hindi."

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach & Methodology

I practice a student-centric, immersive methodology specifically designed for children growing up in an English-speaking environment. Recognizing that traditional rote learning fails online, I use the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. This means we treat Hindi as a living tool for communication rather than a list of rules to memorize.
My techniques include:
• Visual Anchors: Using colorful digital flashcards and interactive slides to build vocabulary without relying on constant translation.
• Gamified Learning: Integrating language quizzes and educational games to keep high-energy children deeply engaged.
• Storytelling & Roleplay: Practicing real-life scenarios (like greeting grandparents or ordering food) to build immediate conversational confidence.

Typical Length of a Lesson

For young learners, attention span is critical. A standard lesson is 45 to 60 minutes long. This provides the perfect window to review previous concepts, introduce a bite-sized new topic, and play a reinforcement game before cognitive fatigue sets in.

My Qualifications & Background

I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi alongside a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). While I am launching my journey in online tutoring, my formal training in education means I am deeply grounded in child psychology, lesson planning, and modern pedagogy. I don’t just speak the language fluently; I understand the science of how children learn, process, and retain information.

Who My Lessons Are For

My classes are explicitly designed for beginners and intermediate students (ages 5 to 14 years old). I specialize in working with diaspora children who understand basic Hindi spoken at home but lack the confidence or vocabulary to speak it back fluently. No prior reading or writing knowledge is required to start.
