About Faye
I am a friendly and supportive qualified ESOL teacher with over 15 years’ experience teaching adults from many different countries and backgrounds. I hold a BA in English Literature and a teaching qualification with TESOL.
I love teaching because language can open the door to greater confidence, independence and connection. It is incredibly rewarding to see learners become more comfortable expressing themselves and achieving goals that once felt difficult.
I am patient, encouraging and genuinely interested in the people I teach. I understand that learning a language can sometimes feel daunting, so I aim to make every student feel relaxed, respected and able to progress without fear of making mistakes.

My lessons are friendly, engaging and personalised around your level, goals and interests. In our first lesson, we will discuss what you would like to achieve and identify the areas where you need support. I will then plan lessons that help you progress at a comfortable but motivating pace.
Lessons may include speaking and pronunciation practice, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, as well as practical English for everyday life, work or study. I also provide focused preparation for ESOL qualifications from Entry 1 to Level 2 (approximately CEFR A1–C1).
I use clear explanations, interesting topics and a variety of activities to make learning enjoyable. You will receive patient guidance, constructive feedback and plenty of opportunities to practise. My aim is to create a relaxed space where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and gradually becoming a more confident and independent English speaker/user.
