About MJ
Hi! I’m MJ, a current VCE student who is passionate about medicine and teaching. Having personally navigated my own challenges with schoolwork in the past, I know exactly what it feels like to feel stuck. My goal is to make learning fun, engaging, and approachable, rather than daunting or boring. I use my own journey to connect with students, break down complex topics simply, and build the confidence they need to succeed.

Each 60-minute online session is fully tailored to your child's needs and struggles! We structure our time efficiently: reviewing past material, introducing a new concept, working through practical examples together, and setting a light task to practice before the next session.
I understand firsthand that developing strong literacy and writing skills doesn't always click straight away. It takes practice to structure ideas clearly, which is something I had to work incredibly hard to master myself. Because of that experience, I know exactly where students tend to get stuck, whether they are struggling with spelling, hitting a wall with creative writing, or finding persuasive essays daunting. My goal is to break down these tricky literacy concepts into simple, manageable steps, transforming writing from a source of frustration into a creative outlet they feel capable of tackling with absolute confidence.
Lessons are conducted via Google Meet. To keep everything organised, I set up a dedicated Google Classroom for each student. This serves as a central hub where they can have questions clarified, easily access resource packs, download worksheets, and submit their weekly tasks. To ensure you are kept in the loop, I will provide regular progress updates to parents via email.
