Super Tutor

Bilal is one of our best English tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Bilal

I’m Bilal, an English graduate with First-Class honours and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, awarded with Distinction. I have experience in one-to-one tuition and supporting young people with their writing.

My approach is supportive, practical and tailored to each student. I break down challenging concepts, explain what makes an effective answer and help students develop the skills to work more independently.

I want students to understand why an answer works, not simply memorise what to write. Whether you’re building confidence, strengthening your foundations or aiming for top grades, I’ll help you work towards your goals at a pace that suits you.

With five 5-star reviews on Superprof and recommendations from previous clients, I bring both subject knowledge and a commitment to helping each student make progress.

About the lesson

I offer personalised, one-to-one tutoring in GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature, helping students develop their analytical skills, strengthen their writing and approach exams with greater confidence.

Whether you’re aiming for higher grades, working to improve your exam technique or finding English difficult, lessons are tailored to your individual needs, current ability and goals.

I focus on the skills that make a difference: analysing language and literature, developing clear and convincing arguments, structuring essays, selecting relevant evidence and answering exam questions effectively. I primarily teach the AQA specification, but can support students studying other exam boards too.

Lessons are available online and in person in East Birmingham.

Important: £30/hour for face-to-face tuition within my local area, with travel fees applicable depending on location. Please enquire for the exact rate before booking.

Perfect! I feel privileged to have had Bilal as my personal tutor. He is a true professional and truly dedicated to his work. He is also kind, helpful, and a very encouraging tutor.

Before our first meeting, I listed the specific areas that were difficult for me and that I wanted to concentrate on. Bilal took my wishes into account and always had a clear plan for every lesson. I warmly recommend him to other students.

Bilal's response
Sauli was a diligent, well-mannered student with a passion and openness for learning as a native Finnish speaker seeking 1-1 English fluency coaching. He did well with learning English phrases and worked through pronunciation of difficult sounds unique to the English language. He was able to put these concepts together into more fluent delivery and situation management, improving everyday English clarity and communication.

I have known Bilal in a personal and professional capacity for 4 years. From my role as a course coordinator for the English department at Saudi Electronic University to my current role as a freelance writer, editor, and teacher, I have known him to a reliable, organised, and hardworking individual.

I have indeed used Bilal for his professional services as a writer and aide multiple times. Bilal has always been willing to take on any task put to him, whenever I have reached out, at however much short notice. I would not hesitate to use Bilal again.

In my opinion, Bilal is thorough and resourceful in everything he puts his mind to. I sincerely believe that you will find an honest and friendly teacher in him, willing to bring the best out of his students and peers.

I think Bilal is a trustworthy tutor as he helped me understand and write more with work I struggled with and he also helped me with excess analysis that I lacked. After Bilal’s tutoring session, I felt much more confident in myself and had a much better understanding of the exam style and question techniques.
