About Meg

I am a native English speaker who has approached language like an anthropologist. Having studied 6 languages myself, I have been through the process of building second-language communication skills from scratch many times. I began working on language curriculum development in 2006 and have written several courses, run an English immersion school in Japan, and trained other English teachers. I've been doing private coaching since 2018 and have continued to study psychology, business, and communication best practices to keep my skill set relevant for modern language learners who want to join the global network on English speakers.

About the lesson

I create personalized learning plans for each client that take into account their current communicative competency, personal and professional goals, and preferred method of instruction. With a Bachelor's in Japanese, a Master's in Language Acquisition and Teaching focused on curriculum development and teacher training, 18 years of professional experience in the US and abroad, and as a polyglot myself, I not only help my clients with their English language skills, but I also help them develop their professional communication style. I generally work with advanced learners who are ready to move beyond linguistic basics and master cross-cultural interactions in English that are natural, professional, and engaging.
