About Alaa

Welcome! My name is Alaa, and I’m an Honors Electrical Engineering major at the University of Houston with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering concepts. I offer tutoring that is not only academically rigorous but also focused on building confidence and long-term success.

My approach is structured, efficient, and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying your current level of understanding, then create a targeted plan to close gaps, reinforce strengths, and help you reach your academic goals. I emphasize clear explanations, real-life applications, and active practice—because true learning comes from doing, not just watching.

I’ve worked with students from high school through college, including those in AP-level STEM courses and university-level engineering and physics classes. I’m also experienced in tutoring students with test anxiety, learning differences, and time management challenges.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around clarity, engagement, and adaptability. I believe that no two students learn the same way, so I always begin by understanding a student’s learning style, academic goals, and areas of difficulty. From there, I adapt my teaching methods, whether through visual aids, step-by-step problem solving, or real-world analogies, to ensure concepts are understood deeply, not just memorized.

Quick Recap (5–10 mins) – Review previous material or homework to reinforce memory.

Review & Strategy (5–10 mins) – Summarize the session and outline study strategies or homework to reinforce learning.
