About Maryam

Hello everyone! My name is Maryam. I'm 16 years old. I've recently finished my GCSEs and would like to start tutoring. I used to tutor the children in my community and when I volunteered. I have wanted to professionally tutor children for a very long time. Growing up I have found it very difficult to pay attention in class. My grades were average and I wasn't reaching my full potential. I realised that I need someone to teach me in a smaller group of people or one to one which is why I joined Grade 9 courses to help me boost my grades. I worked really hard and found myself going from grade 5s and 6s to Grade 7s and 8s. However these courses were very expensive often costing almost £1000 and only teaching one to two lessons per week. I knew that many children would not have the opportunity to have access to things like this but they still deserve a chance at getting top grades and reaching their potential. Which is why I decided I want to use the resources I have gathered from these courses and all my knowledge and spread it with everyone. I have always loved teaching and it would be a wonderful experience for me. Many families will not be able to afford prices for expensive courses which is why I try to keep my prices fair. Everyone deserves a fair chance to learn.

About the lesson

Hello. I've recently completed my GCSE's and have been predicted grade 7s,8s and 9s. In all of my mocks I have gotten consistent 7s and 8s this year too. I have completed many grade 9 courses online which have helped me. Due to the fact that I have done so many of these courses I have access to grade 9 examples and techniques that I can teach to help ensure that your child gets a Grade 7 or above. The grade 9 courses can be very pricey some going for thousands of pounds. My lessons range from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hour and 30 minutes. My prices range from £18 - £25 per each subject (English Language, English Literature, Information Technology, Science and Health and Social Care), based on which lesson duration you choose. I have also worked with special needs children before. So I am aware of the difficulties they can have when studying and am able to cater their needs. My lessons take place on Google meet.
