About Julia

I am Julia Malamane, a final-year Diploma in Grade R Teaching student at the University of South Africa (UNISA). I am passionate about Early Childhood Development and foundation phase education, and I have gained practical classroom experience through teaching practice placements at different primary schools, as well as working as an Education Assistant.

My interest in teaching comes from my desire to make a meaningful difference in children’s early learning experiences. I believe that the foundation phase is the most important stage in a child’s education because it builds the skills that learners will use throughout their academic journey.

I enjoy helping young learners develop confidence in reading, writing, and basic numeracy. I am especially motivated by seeing learners improve and begin to believe in their own abilities.

Teaching, for me, is not just a career path but a passion. I am committed to creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every learner feels valued and encouraged to succeed.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to support young learners in building strong foundational skills in a patient, engaging and supportive way. I specialise in Grade R and Foundation phase learning , focusing on reading, phonics, early literacy and basic numeracy.
Each lesson is adapted to the learners individual needs, ensuring they understand the concept at their own pace.
I use simple explanations, interactive activities and practical examples to make learning enjoyable and easy to understand.

My lesson fees are set to be affordable while reflecting the quality of support and individual attention I provide.

My standard rate is R180 per hour, depending on the learner’s needs and level of support required. For learners who require regular tutoring sessions, I offer consistent weekly scheduling to support steady progress.

For new learners, I may offer a slightly reduced introductory rate for the first session to help parents and learners become comfortable with my teaching style before continuing at the standard rate.

Lessons can be conducted online or in person (depending on location and agreement). I focus on providing value through personalised lesson planning, patient guidance, and structured learning support in Grade R and Foundation Phase subjects.

Payments are made per session or arranged weekly, depending on what is most convenient for the parent or guardian.
