About Bettina
My passion for literature and writing began in my own high school career. I remember being so fascinated by the classic texts we read and wrote on in class that it sparked my desire to continue studying these texts alongside my very own groups of students each academic year. These texts are timeless as they contain life lessons and themes that are relatable to the human experience. As someone who has been nominated for teacher of the year and chosen as teacher of the month, my achievements stem from love of learning and desire to help others see the beauty and excitement literature brings to the real world.

As an educator, I make it my goal to make the lessons I teach comprehensive, relatable, and overall interactive. I provide my high school students with many group activities as I believe learning is social. I also collaborate alongside of them, allowing for small as well as large group discussions that dig deeper at the texts we study. I like to supply students with modern texts and media (music, movies, art, news, etc.) to make connections to the classic texts we read in class.

Mrs. Glaesser was my teacher my freshman year, and can confidently say she was one of the most patient and kindest teachers I’ve had. She is always more than willingly to spend as much time as needed so you can understand the material, and always putting in the extra effort. She is most definitely your best bet when needing help in a specific area because she will always build you up when struggling, never put you down!
When I think of Mrs. Glasser, I think of a teacher who saw potential in every student. A teacher who strives for every student to succeed. We need more teachers like her! Teachers who push their students for higher academic achievements. Teachers that can see each student's strengths and weaknesses. Teachers who know how to enlighten their students when needed. Teachers who help students see themselves.
During my first year of high school, I was placed in a regular English class however, because of her, I was moved to a more academically challenging class because she saw my potential and helped me grow. I will always remember walking out of her classroom when she notified me about moving me to a higher English class level. It gave me the confidence to score higher in my future writing experiences. I will always remember her because she engaged everyone's attention at all times. She always has an open mind about her students. Mrs. Glasser is a memorable teacher who is committed and creative. She puts her time and effort into knowing every one of her student's needs and skills. Also specializing in her student's weaknesses so she can help them grow. I will always remember the funny moments in class while acting and reading plays in class. She made a tough subject enjoyable she was creative and did not let anything become boring or stale, because of that creativity, it opened my mind to expanding my knowledge of English and Literature subjects. My high school was extremely lucky to have her and I was too.
Education is the key to life, and teachers make a lasting impact on the lives of their students. Mrs. Glaesser, my freshman year English teacher, was my inspiration. Her energy poured into many lives as soon as a student walked in, but I can truly speak only from my own experience. During my freshman year, I went through a roller coaster of emotions—grades, sports injuries, motivation—but always there to encourage and instill greatness was Ms. G. Her teaching style and support have inspired me to consider pursuing a career in education. I believe she is trustworthy because of her empathy, confidence, and integrity. In response to the opening quote, Ms. G has made an impact on students' lives, particularly mine.
I highly recommend Bettina Glaesser as a teacher! Mrs. Glaesser was my English teacher my Freshman year in high school and is one of my favorite and most influential teachers to this day. She is incredibly organized, supportive, considerate, patient, and passionate about what she does. She always made class fun, while maintaining structure and keeping the students on task. She has creative lesson plans that keep the class engaged while also thoroughly preparing them for various projects and exams. She loves what she does and it shows. Anyone who uses her services will be very happy with the result.
