Every field of academic endeavor requires you submit your work in written form for review. To be successful, you need to be able to present your work clearly and concisely. Effective communication skills in written English are essential to success. Admittance to a university may depend on a strong initial essay.
Analyzing a text, and producing good writing, are skills that require only a few fundamentals, guidance, and some practice. I have successfully taught hundreds of students those skills.
