About Madison
I am a passionate English Language Arts teacher with a deep love for reading and writing, both in and out of the classroom. I believe that strong literacy skills open doors to confidence and lifelong success, and I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential.
As an educator, I prioritize building meaningful connections with my students and creating a supportive, encouraging learning environment. I truly care about my students’ growth and take pride in helping them develop not only their academic skills, but also their confidence as learners.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. Nature often inspires my creativity and helps me bring fresh perspectives into my teaching. I strive to make learning engaging, personalized, and relevant so that every student feels capable and motivated to succeed.

My lessons are differentiated and individualized based on the specific learners needs. My typical lesson would focus on the reading/writing workshop model. I believe every great reader and writer stems from understanding great reading and studying the skills those author's utilize. My lessons tend to be fun and dynamic. I like to create game style review activities and competitions to get my students engaged in what they are learning. I also choose texts that my students will connect with and engage in.
