About Thor

Hello My name is Thor i was born and grow up in the Netherlands (Holland).
I am a very motivated energiek and calm teacher. My goal is to make you understand. If there be occasions a student not understand something i explained in one way i switch to explain it in a other way. All very decent and convincing.

I like to make my students feel very comfortable in my lessons. It be fun to study with me. I am also full of stories and anekdotes to cheer up the lessons ( of course all is about Dutch)

I have a lot of experience with different cultures and backgrounds what makes it easy to understand one or a other have different needs. Per example for my Asian students it is always difficult to pronounce some letters that can be very easy for per example English native speakers.
I know where to pay extra attention about/to.

About the lesson

I am a very experienced teacher,15 years,and i worked in different countries. My mood is always very good and i am calm and motivating,giving my students a boost to get the best results.I am allround. I offer lessons to develop your skills in Grammar Reading Speaking Listening. Also i pay attention to pronouncing.
For interested students in Dutch culture History and habits
i also have a lot of knowledge.

I worked with many students to prepare and train them for all type of exams. Per example Academics to get the exam for working permit (like Doctors ,Dentist etc).....or children who need extra attention or run behind at school.
But also exams for permit to stay in Holland (The Netherlands)
I master levels from A0 (starter) A1 (beginner with some Dutch understanding) A2 (Basic) B1 (intermediate) B2 ( Intermediate how Dutch speak) C1 (Advanced perfect Dutch)

Trough out the years i use a variatie of books. The books are all qualified . Most of them are created by the university of Amsterdam. I use also special training books with mixed content To get fast into Speaking and understanding A0 up to B2. This training is also with role plays pictures and special word lists for direct use and most common verbs.

I have plans ready for my lessons. But through the years i experienced it is more use full to make a plan with the students that adept their needs. It be all planed in time fixed schedules.

I am ready to help and enrich your knowledge and understanding about Dutch.
