About Karen
Hello! I’m Karen, a TEFL-certified English teacher with a background in Communication, Global Studies, and cultural studies. I have lived and worked in different countries and have experience communicating with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes.
My teaching style is patient, creative, and student-centered. I adapt my lessons to your individual goals, interests, and learning style, whether you want to improve your conversation skills, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, or confidence in everyday English.
As a creative professional and lifelong learner, I enjoy bringing real-life topics, culture, art, and interesting conversations into my lessons. Most importantly, I want you to feel that English is something you can genuinely enjoy and use—not something you have to be afraid of. I look forward to learning with you!
