Quickly go over the basic structure of a fraction (numerator/denominator). 2. Introduction to Fractions (15 minutes): Objective: Teach the concept of fractions using visual aids. Step 1: Explain the components of a fraction: numerator (top number) and denominator (bottom number). The numerator represents the number of parts we are concerned with. The denominator represents the total number of equal parts. Step 2: Use a fraction circle or bar model to visually show fractions. For example, color in 3 out of 4 parts of a pie to represent 3 4 4 3 . Step 3: Engage the students by asking them to identify fractions in different visual forms. 3.
