About Mas

I am a hardworking English tutor and I have a good academic background. My targeted areas are to assist students to become more coherent, confident and achieve better grades in exams with the help of structured, supportive and achievement-led lessons. Being a recently graduated student who had to go through rigorous academic English, I am aware of the issues people might encounter and can explain things in an easy, practical, and understandable manner. I am keen on ensuring that students actually improve, but do not merely memorize.

About the lesson

I am aware of English not only as a subject, but as a skill that should operate in the practice of real academic and examination conditions. Being a graduate of IB Higher Level English, I have been taught to think critically about the texts, how to construct ideas logically and communicate accurately, which most students are unable to master but are needed to succeed. Moreover, I have obtained the IELTS score of 8 which provides evidence that I can communicate in English fluently, accurately and naturally in speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

The difference is that I have just experienced the same problems that my students experience. I am aware of the areas that examiners monitor, the areas that students usually lose marks, and how to work effectively as opposed to memorising. I teach the lessons with the emphasis on clarity, confidence and practical improvement-reducing the complex ideas into simple and understandable steps. I would like to ensure that students feel free to ask questions, think on their own, and feel free to express themselves without fear.
