About Yuling
I am from China and I am currently a postgraduate student in the UK. Chinese is my mother tongue and English is my second language. I am very interested in language studies and cross-cultural communication. I like anime, manga and watching movies, so I still know some Japanese. My previous part-time jobs and internships have provided me with the ideal experience for this position. I have worked as a tutor and interned in primary schools teaching Chinese and English. I have developed many of the skills required for this job, including how to teach a language, how to get students interested in learning a language and how to communicate with students to know what they need.

My undergraduate degree is in English with a minor in Chinese Language and Literature. As a result of my four years of undergraduate study, I am aware of the differences between the two languages and the difficulties that can be encountered by learners with different cultural backgrounds. I have worked as a tutor and interned in primary schools teaching Chinese and English. I think interest is the best teacher. I hope to get students to enjoy learning languages. I would like to teach students what I know about the language and culture.
